Case story

Overview

This project presents a group-built e-learning course from the Instructional Learning Design 2 module. It teaches learners how to create a digital professional portfolio and combines conceptual guidance with practical website-building steps.

Learning Focus

The course focuses on portfolio purpose, content selection, visual design, and deployment, with the aim of helping learners create a portfolio they can share in professional contexts.

Group Design Approach

As a group project, the course required shared planning, division of responsibilities, content sequencing, media selection, and alignment between instructional goals and hands-on activities.

What It Shows

As a portfolio artifact, it shows collaborative instructional design, Articulate Rise publishing, SCORM packaging, digital skills instruction, and the translation of a practical career-readiness topic into an interactive learning experience.

Research framing

Learners entering the job market may know they need a portfolio, but still struggle to decide what to include, how to present it clearly, and how to publish it in a usable format.

Workflow sketch

Our group structured the course around a practical learning path: understand what a portfolio is, learn why it matters, make design decisions, and build a portfolio using Wix tutorials and guided examples.

Design decision

The project strengthened my experience with collaborative course design, learner guidance, portfolio literacy, and connecting conceptual instruction with hands-on digital production.
